The Asian Motor Sports Championship is hosted by the FIA's Asia-Pacific Region and will be held in the form of the Asia Olympics, where 171 top-ranked athletes selected from 18 countries' APN participate in five events to determine the Asia-Pacific champion for each event and determine the final winner according to the ranking.
A week before the match, Kim suffered a finger injury due to an accident in which a rear vehicle climbed onto the steering wheel during the ROTAX ASIA Trophy match at Thailand's BIRA Stadium. However, in four preliminary rounds in two days, they competed fiercely with 11- and 12-year-olds and advanced to the final with the third place in the final preliminary round.
In the final, which consists of a total of 12 laps, Kim started stably while maintaining his third place, raising his pitch from the second half of the game to second place in the final lap. And as a result of the final match, Kim won the youngest Asian-Pacific champion title and gold medal for the first time as a Korean.
"My finger hurt from contact with other players' vehicles in the start competition, but I did my best to play," Kim said. "In the second half of the race, I focused on crossing the finish line with the fastest record line without being swayed by the competition of other vehicles."
Meanwhile, Kim's horse racing team is the main team of the Belfore International Moto Arena Circuit (the highest-grade international circuit that is scheduled to open in October this year) within Belfore, Blackstone, Jeungpyeong.
