Queen Baton Rouge and Draft King's Sports Book celebrate grand opening ceremony

The Queen Baton Rouge and DraftKings Sports Book officially opened tonight at 9 p.m., welcoming more than 1,000 guests lining up outdoors to welcome the amazing 100,000-square-foot casino to Baton Rouge. The opening ceremony was followed by ribbon cutting and welcoming speeches from Queen Gaming & Entertainment CEO and CEO Terry Downey, Baton Rouge's mayor and president Sharon Weston Broome, Queen Baton Rouge's general manager, Matthew Shehardy, former LSU Tiger and NFL quarterback Matt Flynn, and Louisiana Gaming Control Board President Ronnie S. Jones.

The ribbon was officially cut by Lydia Chenebert, a 30-year-old employee of Queen Baton Rouge, and before tonight, it was the historic Riverboat Casino Baton Rouge in Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge. A spectacular drone light show took place shortly after ribbon cutting, synchronized with the playlist broadcast on Talk 107.3 and 98.1 FM. Drones lit the sky with a countdown revealing the logo of Queen Baton Rouge, showing all the amazing destinations found within the property. Draftkings Sports Book, 1717, dynamic bars and restaurants with stages for live entertainment, Big Chicken, three Woks Noodle bars and Capitol Coffee Baton Rouge, and a dedicated smoking partyo, LIT Casino & Bar.
